Review on the Lancome Teint Miracle Foundation

The Lancome Teint Miracle Foundation is appealing to me because of its crystal-like bottle and its silver packaging. I was drawn to this product for its packaging and the good reviews I heard about from beauty and make up bloggers on YouTube. This product is retailed in stores such as House of Fraser, Harvey Nichols, Debenhams, Selfridges, Covent Garden around the UK, but I am not sure which stores retail this product in other parts of the world. I am certain that, you could purchase the products from the Lancome Paris online store available here. This product is a high-end product, that means its more expensive than other drugstore foundations. This foundation retailed for £27.50 from Boots and I found out that it is more expensive than my regular MAC studio fix foundation that retails for £21.50. I  have studied reviews given on this product and many people had positive things to say about the foundation in context of its packaging, chemical content and durability on the skin. Also, I found out that, this foundation has 18 shades from 005 Beige Ivory to 15 Acajou [ that means from the lightest white to the darkest black]  Finally, I decided to buy this product and use it, for six months to form an opinion.

This foundation is oil free, instead it is an alcohol based foundation. This is an advantage because it reduces the appearance of excess oil on the t-zones after application and reduces your chances of retouching the make up after  hours of applying the foundation. The disadvantage of using an alcohol based foundation is the increased chances of having wrinkles before the right time to have wrinkles, increased breakout on the skin because the alcohol blocks air from entering into the pores of your face. However, don't be discouraged because this foundation contains SPF 5 [ Sun Protection Factor] that protects your skin from the UVA [Ultra Violet A]  and U VB [Ultra Violet B]  rays of the sun that causes sun burns, skin cancer and wrinkles to the skin. The SPF content is gauge to the period of time that a person can be exposed to the sun before getting burnt. SPF 5 means that 50 minutes of how the product will protect your skin from the damages of exposure to the sun. However, if you must know, SPF is one key content that should be found in a skincare product and make up foundation product. In my opinion, the product has a 6 hr wear before wearing out on the face. Also, this product gives a radiant finish to the skin.

Texture and Appearance of the Lancome Teint Miracle Foundation

The texture of this foundation has a light liquid feel on the skin which is expected from an alcohol based foundation. This foundation provides medium-full coverage over the skin. This foundation has a reddish undertone and gives a natural finish to the skin. I prefer using this foundation during the cooler seasons such as Autumn and Winter, because the reddish undertone of the foundation matches the weather and amount of SPF is suitable for these seasons were there is less sunlight. Overall, I like this foundation and though it has some disadvantages like not being suitable for warmer seasons of the year, I believe that it is worth the money.

Requested: Comparisons of this foundation to the Estee Lauder double wear concealer and the Lancome Teint Idole Ultra 24h foundation.

  1. Lancome Teint Idole Ultra 24hr Foundation: The Lancome Teint Miracle foundation is a fraternal twin to The Lancome Teint Idole Ultra 24h wear foundation. Both of these foundations are oil-free and alcohol based foundations. The both gives a radiant finish to the skin and have similar feel to the skin. The differences between these products are: the Idole Ultra foundation doesn't have a reddish undertone, the foundation has a 24 hrs wear compared to its fraternal twin. Overall, if I was to suggest the best product among this similar items, I suggest you purchase the Lancome Teint Idole Ultra 24hr foundation, Read More.
  2. Estee Lauder Double Wear concealer: Some Ladies, prefer a light- medium coverage look, therefore the use only concealers on their problem areas[ such as under eyes, spots, blemishes and pimples] without the application of foundation. This concealer is an amazing product, it is light on the skin and has a flawless finish. In comparison to Lancome Teint Miracle foundation, I will suggest you chose the Estee Lauder Double Wear concealer if you like that light coverage look. Overall, I love all these products and I hope this review has motivated you to select the kind of foundation you would prefer to have on all year.

Thanks for reading and have a blessed life.

Best Wishes,
Peace.
